All Holocaust museums teach the past. We go further and focus on the future. Every day, our team comes to work with heartfelt passion to live our mission of using the history and lessons from the Holocaust to build a just and caring community free of anti-Semitism and all forms of prejudice and bigotry.
It is our responsibility to ensure we all work together to build a respectful world, where being an UpStander is the rule rather than the exception.
When you visit our museum, you can immerse yourself in a powerful virtual reality experience. As you put on the Oculus goggles, you will be transported to the Secret Annex where Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis with Anne guiding you and sharing her inspirational story every step of the way.
Our exhibits showcase how a group of teenage boys risked their lives to expose important truths, expose the treatment of homosexual men by the Nazis and highlight one man’s mission to challenge racism.
Our programming features powerful events examining relevant topics such as the power of the written word and how respectful conversation can lead to great change. Through extensive professional development programs, we train educators to bring valuable lessons into their classrooms and we continue to empower middle school students through our UpStanders program.
We are storytellers, educators, collaborators, and experts. We empower, teach, engage and inspire.
Our commitment is that you will leave with at least one idea on how you can change your community to make it a better place.
